Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank, headquartered at Tuticorin, was founded in 1921 as the Nadar Bank, it changed its name in November 1962 to widen its appeal beyond the Nadar community. It was rated as the fastest growing Private Sector Bank continuously for 5 years from 2010 to 2015. It currently has 488 full branches throughout India, 10 Regional Offices and 11 Extension Counters, 6 Central Processing Units, 1 Service Branch, 4 Currency Chests and 1015 ATMs. The Bank has thus been gaining a foothold all over the country.

About Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank

It was the first Private Sector Bank in India to introduce computerization for branch-level operations. It adopted modernization as early as the year 1983. Today, all 487 branches of the Bank are networked using Infosys’s FINACLE Software and have achieved 100% connectivity. Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank services has always focused its attention on the customers from the very beginning and it is known for offering personalized service. This loan can be availed for a variety of purposes, including – purchase of land and construction of house thereon, purchasing a new flat, purchase of old house/flat, etc. Individuals aged between 18 and 50 years are eligible for this loan. In case of Joint Borrowers, if any one of the applicant’s age id below 50, they can avail the loan under “TMB-Home” Loan Scheme jointly. In case of professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, etc. the upper age limit may be relaxed up to 60.
